Adur and Worthing Council are holding an accessibility assessment, as part of their plans to transform and improve Montague Place.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, temporary changes were made to Montague Place due to the increased need for social distancing.
One of the few benefits to come out of the pandemic was a renewed understanding of the importance of community spaces.
Adur and Worthing Council now plan to make the temporary changes to Montague Place permanent, to introduce more green space.
As part of these changes, Adur and Worthing Council want to work with local people to decide what changes should be made to the area.
To ensure that the views and experiences of older and disabled people are fully represented, the council is inviting participants to an accessibility assessment of Montague Place.
The assessment will take place on Thursday 19 January from 10am to 12:30pm.
The assessment will consist of a 60 – 90 minute walkabout of Montague Place, in order to gain a better understanding of the accessibility issues in the area and to explore ways accessibility can be improved in the future.
Those who take part will receive a £50 voucher.
