We are currently looking to recruit a full time care assistant to work 30 hours per week with an immediate start. This is to assist our adult, blind, and disabled son by attending with him his day centre 4 days per week and to go swimming with him and his other carers.
My son is 36 years old Blind with a very rare condition called Bosch-Boonstra-Schaaf optic atrophy syndrome (BBSOAS), very friendly a “young child” more like a toddler at heart and mind. He likes to stick to the very same routine even with food.

He needs help in all activities and daily living i.e pads change and feeding

Duties include:

  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
