Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

Monday & Friday 10.30am - 1.30pm Wednesday – 12 noon – 3pm 9 hours per week in total

Hourly pay rate:

£12 per hour

I am a 50-year-old man looking for support:

To accompany me to access my local community

To engage with me in social and leisure activities

To accompany me walking my 3 friendly dogs.

To drive me in your own vehicle in return for mileage at 35p per mile

The local community part of this role will function like a ‘Buddy’ as you will be expected to join in with the social and leisure activities.

This could be a very rewarding role for the right person. Are you that person?

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Shopping
  • Transportation
  • Companionship

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Able to tolerate the employer smoking in the workplace
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
  • Happy to work in a smoking environment

  • Honest and cheerful with a good sense of humour
