I am a friendly man in my Forties. I have multiple health conditions including arthritis, nerve damage and gout. I am looking for a self-employed personal assistant to support me with managing my household, including making payments, opening letters and attending appointments.

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be engaged directly by the individual and not Independent Lives. This role is for a self-employed worker, successful applicants will be required to prove self-employed status and undergo self-employment checks.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Companionship

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
