Hours assigned will be on a 2-week rota: Week one 1 hour weekday mornings 8:30 – 9:30 am 1 hour weekday afternoons 3:00 – 4:00 am 5 hours Saturdays (time can be flexible) 5 hours Sundays 8:45 – 1:45pm Week two Term time only: 1 hour weekday mornings 8:30 – 9:30 am 1 hour weekday afternoons 3:00 – 4:00 am
Hourly pay rate:
£11.44 - £15.00 rate will be determined by experience and level of tasks that can be met
I am looking for a patient PA who has understanding and experience with neurodiversity to help support my 15 year old daughter who is autistic and struggles with mental health. She is a loving and caring young lady with a great sense of humour.
Weekday tasks will be to assist with the school run morning and afternoon.
Weekend tasks will be to slowly build a connection with my daughter to help her improve life skills in the home and within the community.
Duties include:
- Initially, role will simply be to provide a ‘sitting service’ whereby you are in the house whilst I am out so that she is not left on her own. The priority in this instance will be to ensure she is monitored, safe and able to engage when she can.
- The role will evolve to helping to promote positive life-skills – i.e., assisting in making food, keeping room clean and tidy, gaining independence in and out of the home.
- Supporting and promoting daily personal hygiene routine and importance of looking after ourselves
- Promote positive engagement within the home with family members
- Support accessing social and leisure activities ie. on family days out, or 1-2-1 when the relationship is strong enough.
Candidate qualities:
- Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common-sense approach.
