I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

8 hours per week, additional social hours available on a casual basis (weekends/evenings)

Hourly pay rate:

£10.50 per hour

I am a 20-year-old who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, I enjoy gaming at home and am a keen supporter of Brighton and Hove football club, I try to go to all their home games.  I use a wheelchair to move around and I am looking for someone to assist me with getting out and about and help with finding employment.

I require a support worker to help me find and apply for paid employment.

Support to access activities such as; shopping trips, meeting friends in the pub and enjoying a variety of different leisure activities.

On occasion to take me to a Brighton and Hove football match.

I require a driver and can provide a Motability car for when we go out. (Age restriction)

I use a wheelchair to get around and currently need help to access my bedroom and bathroom when in my home environment.

Duties include:

  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing

  • Help with putting away and taking out clothes
  • Physiotherapy exercises

  • Must have a UK driving licence and be comfortable with driving my car.

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
