Up to 14 hours a week. Preferably Tuesdays and Fridays.

Hourly pay rate:

£15.

K is a quiet 24 year old man with Down Syndrome.  He loves playing table Tennis at Brighton Table Tennis Club.  This is his main escape from the house and it is where he socialises and keeps fit and healthy.  He also goes to fitness classes in Hove.  He loves bowling, crazy golf,  going to the cinema and eating out.   Kane loves Brighton!

K is slowly becoming more independent but cannot travel on his own.  He needs someone to support him with simple things like communicating, counting money, tying shoe laces and doing up buttons and zips.  He needs help with shopping and training to use public transport and cooking a meal.

K is fun to be around, very well mannered and polite.  Ideally he would love someone he can play table tennis, socialise and build a friendship with.  K can be very quiet and shy and does not communicate clearly so needs help to be understood but also encouraged to speak up for himself.

Duties include:

  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
