I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

Up to 8 hours per week, ideally 2.00-4.00pm, days/times to be arranged

Hourly pay rate:

£12.50

I am a quite healthy 28 year old man with some disabilities.

At the moment I suffer from serious breathing problems and chronic fatigue. I can move but need to be in bed for long periods.

I am interested in all dimensions of health and happiness. I am a good, thoughtful person and I'd treat my PA with respect with a good attitude and willingness to listen and help.

I struggle to work and do all basic home stuff on my own.  I need support with housework, laundry, food preparation, some cleaning of specific things, keeping me company.

I struggle to speak, have selective mutism and am sensitive to sound.

 

Duties include:

  • Housekeeping
  • Companionship

  • Laundry
  • Bed linen changing
  • Sometimes putting the rubbish out
  • Cutting up vegetables (no cooking!)
  • Taking me out in own car occasionally - would like but not essential
  • Extra things if needed, e.g. cleaning specific things

Candidate qualities:

  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Quiet, able to rely on written rather than verbal instructions, understanding
