3-4 hours x 2/3 days a week
Hourly pay rate:
Starting rate £12.00 p/h - increasing to an enhanced rate of £13.00 p/h once the required startup training has been successfully completed.
I am looking for someone to accompany my son to and from his nursery on school transport. My son is 3 years old and attends a specialist nursery. He has health needs due to a genetic condition and therefore requires one-to-one support on school transport. My son is not verbal, he has epilepsy, is tube fed and is a wheelchair user. He is also vulnerable to respiratory conditions.
He thrives on company and socialising with others. He responds excitedly to people he knows well and is a delight to work with. He lives in a busy household with 3 siblings.
Previous experience with complex needs is desired although full training will be given for the specific health requirements.
You will accompany my son on school transport from 7.30/8am – 9.30/10am and again from 3pm/3.30pm – 4.30/5pm. Each journey takes between 1.5 & 2 hours depending on traffic. Due to my sons complex health needs, the successful applicant will require training to meet these needs. This training will be provided.
Duties include:
- Pad changing as required
- Other aspects of personal care
- Transferring in and out of the wheelchair
