£11.44 per hour with 45p per mile mileage
Our amazing 12 year old son is a happy go lucky, outgoing and generally chilled boy, with the occasional ‘moments’ you get with a typical preteen!
We are looking for a calm, happy, proactive personal assistant to help him develop his independence and his own interests away from us. We would really like him to get so much more out of life.
The role will involve accessing social leisure activities such as walks, bowling and expanding his horizons through new activities and experiences. It will involve the use of your car to get to and from activities.
Our son has Autism so building trust and maintain routines will be required. He is also non-verbal but has never had an issue making his wants and needs known. He is learning to use sign language at school.
This role is about building our son’s confidence to be himself, if you think you can provide a positive experience for him we would love to meet you.
Duties include:
- Plan and suggest activities/new experiences.
- Getting know our son’s needs and responding appropriately to these.
Candidate qualities:
- Experience (including life experience) with Autistic and/or non-verbal children is preferred
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
