I am looking for a personal assistant for support and motivation.

I am a fifty nine year old woman with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and a long history of contact with mental health services and inpatient admissions during manic episodes. I was last discharged in march 2025 and am currently stable and in remission.

I am interested to get help with practical tasks around the house and garden. I would really appreciate support with basic IT. I would like someone compatible for socialising out and about and chats at home.

It would be helpful if the PA  has some understanding of bipolar disorder and confidence or a willingness to learn how to recognise my early warning signs for highs and lows and identify potential triggers. My needs vary with my mood and when my mood is in balance I am a very capable and competent person needing a low level of support.

I enjoy arts and crafts including pottery, glasswork, painting and knitting. I have an elderly dog and enjoy walks with him in the woods and at the beach. I like to eat out and visit places of interest. I would appreciate some company and help with getting out more.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Companionship
  • Gardening

Someone with whom to discuss plans for improving my house and to take an interest in my artistic projects.

Candidate qualities:

  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
