Hours per week:

Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 12:30pm- 3:30pm. It may be possible to swap Saturday shifts to a Sunday. Job share possible, so please apply if you can do any of the hours.

Hourly pay rate:

£16.00 employed rate, £21.50 self-employed rate

I am a 65-year-old female looking for a personal assistant to support me to live independently, access the community and attend health appointments.

I have hearing difficulties, meaning I often need to lip read. Because of this I need a PA who is able to speak English extremely fluently and clearly so that I am able to understand. I have a mild learning disability and some memory problems, so need prompting and reminding around care and support needs including reminders of upcoming appointments and support with suitable clothing choices.

I need support with accessing social and leisure activities and would love a PA who shares similar interests to me such a tenpin bowling, crafts, walking and going to the cinema or theatre.

I require a driver with their own car to enable me to access the community.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Dressing / undressing

  • Help improve cooking confidence and support with main meal preparation (I use photo cards to cook)
  • Prompting and reminding around care and support needs including reminders of upcoming appointments and support with suitable clothing choices

  • Experience of working with the profoundly deaf preferred.
  • Must speak English extremely fluently and clearly so that I am able to lip read and understand.
