Hours per week:

Days of work: 5 hours a week. One hour a day, five days a week. The days of work are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. This could be at 11am-12:00 on some days and perhaps 4pm-5pm on other days. If the person has flexibility it would be useful as sometimes we will need to book them for longer sessions to cover travelling to appointments

We are looking for a caring, attentive, and reliable Personal Assistant (PA) to support our mother. She is in her early 80’s and needs a friendly, organised person to support her with some things in the home and to go on short walks, as she has Mild Cognitive Impairment, meaning she has poor short-term memory and finds planning difficult. She is unconfident walking on her own so needs support to get outside.

Our Mother needs support from someone who is friendly and who understands her house, how everything works and where everything is. She has Mild Cognitive Impairment, she struggles with short term memory and planning ahead. She has just been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, so we need some support planning, labelling meals and buying the correct food. We are starting a food diary, so recording what she eats is useful. We're looking for a proactive, practical and organised person to help her make sure she has everything she needs to start the day. She is able to get up, get dressed and shower and get her breakfast on her own.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking

  • Short walks
  • Food planning support

Put laundry washing on, take down dry laundry, folding laundry and putting away.
Help prepare food
Washing up and tidying/ ordering flat.
Ironing clothes
