This role is to assist my son while accessing the community and attending activities like swimming and football, ensuring he are safe near roads when out and about. Independence training and travel training will be crucial for him to build more independence in life skills like shopping (but he isn’t always that keen on that), taking his medication etc. Also to promote and encourage my son to be more vocal in responses.
Duties include:
Be aware and respond to signs of epilepsy/seizures and administer medication for this.
Any other reasonable tasks requested.
Additional job information:
My son likes playing games on his phone like football, he also enjoys going out, for example to the park, to London museums. Unusually, he does like to tidy his room which is good for us too.
My son has seizures so it’s crucial that some tasks are monitored and then supported if a seizure occurs.
A Personal Assistant who is calm, patient and gentle in their approach would be a good fit for our family.
