I am looking for personal care for a Woman

The candidate should be a woman

Drivers licence required: Yes

Hours per week:

Up to 33 hours per week- mainly weekdays, some evenings and overnights.

Hourly pay rate:

£87 per night sleep over, £11.70 per hour weekends and late evenings, £10.42 per hour during the week.

We are looking for a personal assistant to join our team, supporting our 38 year old daughter. She is affectionate and non-challenging, loves music, cinema and playing on her Ipad.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Looking after pets
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Able to communicate clearly with all other members of the family and care team, both in person and through the communication diary
  • Must be comfortable with a bouncy Collie

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
