I am looking for personal care for a Man

Drivers licence required: Yes

Hours per week:

40 hours Monday - Friday, shift time is 8am - 4pm totalling 40 hours per week.

Hourly pay rate:

£10.42 per hour

I am looking for a personal assistant for my 33 year old son. He is chatty, witty and has a sharp sense of humour.

Part of the role is to take my son to his volunteer work, the successful applicant must be comfortable driving our Motability vehicle.

My son uses a powerchair to get around and needs support to do things he enjoys. You will need to support him some basic tasks in the morning so that he is ready for the day.

There is some personal care involved in the role.

This is a rewarding role with all professional training provided.

Duties include:

  • Personal grooming
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Support to empty leg bag
Ensure my son brushes his teeth in the mornings
Support him to get his coat on
Take my son to his volunteer work and support him to do tasks
Occasionally accompany my son to Car boot sales on Sunday Mornings
Accompany the family to go food shopping once a week

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
