I am looking for personal care for a Child

Drivers licence required: No

Hours per week:

4 hours a week term time and one day a week in the school holidays- can be discussed.

Hourly pay rate:

£10.50

He has cerebral palsy, uses a wheelchair and is no verbal, he is a very happy and cheeky boy with a great sense of humour.

My son enjoys interacting with other children and joining in with adult gossip, swimming, Trampolining, visits to farms and zoos, being outside.

Duties will include feeding, he is not always receptive to people during these times and can be difficult so I am looking for someone fun, friendly, kind and lively, whom is able to be firm when need.

Duties included
◦ Personal care/changing nappy
◦ Feeding

4 hours a week after school during term time and one day a week during the school holidays.
Possibility of some weekends and extra days during the holidays to either assist me on days out with him and his 4 year old sister or take him out alone.

Duties include:

  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
