I am looking for personal care for a Woman

The candidate should be a woman*

Drivers licence required: Yes

Hours per week:

Saturday and Sunday shifts 9am-11pm. Monday- Friday every other week 4pm-11pm.

I am a 24 year old stay at home mum who is seeking support to care for myself and assistance caring for my daughter who is 4 years old. I have limb-girdle muscular dystrophy which essentially causes my muscles to deteriorate over time. I am a part-time wheelchair user & use a walking aid to walk. I also have frequent falls. The successful application must be able to lift me.

I have two roles available - Saturday and Sunday shifts 9am-11pm and Monday- Friday every other week 4pm-11pm. Please state the hours you can do in your application.

Duties include:

  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • Showering and dressing my daughter
  • Transferring from my wheelchair to standing
  • Day to day activities e.g. Taking my daughter out, going to appointments, food shopping, visiting family, help taking my daughter to nursery
  • To be attentive to my daughter if I am unable to do a task

Candidate qualities:

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
