I am a lively and intelligent 19-year-old with cerebral palsy who is looking for a fun and supportive PA for the days I’m not in college to support me at home and to help me access activities in the community. This is a varied role: sometimes I like to just chill out and relax at home and other days I like to get out and about exploring in my powered wheelchair or visiting cafes and pubs. I don’t let my cerebral palsy stop me doing what I’d like…sometimes I just need a bit of extra help to do it!
Duties include:
Someone who would be willing to drive our small wheelchair accessible vehicle would be great, but not essential.
Candidate qualities:
In this role, I would need someone who is calm and patient – allowing me to do what I can for myself – but who shows initiative and gives me support when I need it.
Someone who is willing to fit in with family life and join us on trips out, as an extra pair of hands would be brilliant.
I have a great sense of humour, enjoy a bit of banter and would love someone to join me in helping me live my life to the full!
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
Notes:
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check if required.
