Hours per week:

5 hours per week, 1 hour per day Monday-Friday, 10am-11pm ideally.

Hourly pay rate:

£12.21 per hour

Female carer required for a young, out-going 80-year-old lady to support with personal care tasks.

The right person will need to be patient, friendly with a good understanding of Dementia. The role will also involve building a rapport with her and working around our small, friendly dog.

Experience working as a carer/personal assistant would be desirable.

 

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing

Candidate qualities:

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
