I am looking for personal care for a Woman

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

11 hours per week-Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday morning.

Hourly pay rate:

£9.50 per hour

I am a quiet but friendly 32-year-old female, looking to recruit a PA to support me with enjoying my leisure time and with personal care. I have Downs syndrome and hip displacement. I enjoy bowling, swimming, eating out, crazy golf and playing pool. This is a rewarding role for the right person.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing

  • Helping with other aspects of personal care as required, for example assisting employer to get changed at swimming pool.
  • Supporting me with getting out and about and enjoying my hobbies and leisure time.

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Creative
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Must be comfortable with the presence of a cat upon entering premises

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
