40 hours per week for 6 weeks during summer holidays Possibilities for subsequent hours during college holidays
Hourly pay rate:
£ 14 per hour. Double pay on bank holidays
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and caring female to care for our 20 year old daughter during the summer holidays (6 weeks) Hours are flexible and would be approximately 40 hours a week.
Some personal care required but role is mainly to offer activities and interaction throughout the day.
Subsequent hours may be offered in future college breaks if wanted.
These hours could suit college/ uni students.
Duties include:
- To supervise client and ensure safety when working alone. Client is non verbal, does not walk unaided. Has epilepsy which is well controlled but needs monitoring for absences.
- To facilitate entertainment and activities when at home.
- To assist with daily living skills when required. This may mean keeping toilet / eating routines without prompting from employer.
Candidate qualities:
- Kind, patient, sense of humour.
- Imaginative and able to be creative independently (to entertain client)
- Able to work with client alone or as part of the family (on family outings and in the home)
- Be confidential and respectful of the other family members in our home setting.
- Energetic, cheerful and playful
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
