10 hours a week, 9.30 – 2.30 Tuesday & Thursday, although start and day can be discussed at interview

Hourly pay rate:

£12.50

  • I am a lively, active female with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) who uses a manual wheelchair and I am looking for Friendly reliable Personal Assistant/Support Worker wanted to assist me in my home and in the community.
  • You will support me to attend activities such as shopping, general outings, and appointments.
  • The successful applicant will encourage and support me to get out and about in the community.
  • You must be happy to drive me either in my automatic car
  • Tasks also include assisting me with personal care and daily living tasks

 

Duties include:

  • Personal grooming
  • Moving and handling
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Like dogs and be confident with them

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
