I am a friendly, chatty person who is looking for some support from a calm and patient person with everyday life

I would like help with paperwork, bills and correspondence and also with tasks around my home such as light cleaning, laundry

I enjoy going out so would love to be able to go shopping or just to have some social time but also to attend appointments

I need help with getting dressed so on some days of the week an earlier start would be needed

I have a 6 year old son who I need support to drop off or pick up from the local school

The hours can be flexible to suit but you would need to be able to work in with one school run each session either morning or afternoon

This role can be a job share so please apply even if you are not able to provide all the hours required

Duties include:

  • Administration
  • Housekeeping
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Gardening
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required

Additional Duties:

I may need more personal care in the future if my mobility declines
I need help to put on a full leg splint
Accompanying and assisting employer on shopping trips when required
Accompanying to attend day centre one day a week
Support to attend physio sessions and help with the machines
Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities
Accompanying employer to doctors/hospital appointments when required
Accompanying on trips out particularly during school holidays with my son
Accompanying on trips out e.g. Accompanying on trips out eg to the garden centre, beach, cinema, craft fairs, local visits, out shopping for fun, attending social events, attending therapies and disability group
Lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Notes:

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
