I am a friendly and sociable woman in my early forties.
I am looking for a team of personal assistants to support me in my own home and on occasional trips out in the community.
In 2015 I was diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately through having treatment I have acquired some brain damage which has caused multiple physical disabilities and a motor speech disorder (Dysarthria). Despite this, I have a positive outlook on life and enjoy it to the best of my ability.
I am looking for someone who is down to earth, who has a good sense of humour and good social skills. Also, and very importantly someone who is kind, empathetic and patient. I can sometimes become distressed (and have mood swings) if I am not understood (communication/ speech problems which again are due to brain damage). However, in-between these moments I have a great sense of humour and I’m actually quite a fun person to be around!
