Hours per week:

3 hours per week, Sunday mornings plus an additional 3 hours per week in the school holidays (days and times flexible)

Hourly pay rate:

Monday - Saturday rate £12 per hour, Sunday Rate: £13.20 per hour. Mileage expenses: 45p per mile.

Our 8-year-old cheeky daughter is head strong, very active and when she makes a connection with someone, she is very loving. She is her happiest when she is on the go. We are looking for someone who is fun and bubbly, with lots of patience and the gentleness to support her needs.

The role will involve accessing local activities and such as going to the park, Mc Donalds, soft play whilst keeping her safe as she experiences the world. She is not a ‘full day out’ kind of girl as her hypermobility makes her very tired.

You will need to be proactive and be aware of what’s going on around you at all times, staying one step ahead as she has a tendency to make a break for it! So, make sure to bring your trainers (and your energy) with you!

Experience of working with Autistic children is preferable.

Duties include:

  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Accessing social and leisure activities e.g. Walks, going to the park, multi sports clubs

Monitoring risks when out and about

The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
