I'm in need of two flexible, creative and calm Personal Assistants (to work together or with myself) for my 16-year-old son, primarily to accompany him out and about, supporting him in his preferred activities. He loves swimming and long walks in the countryside and shopping trips. He communicates basic needs with few words, is sociable and friendly, yet occasionally faces challenges that he's eager to overcome. The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission.
Duties include:
Candidate qualities:
- At least 3 years working with special need children / adults
- Experienced in managing challenging behaviours if they arise (team teach trained /positive handling training is a requirement)
- Face coverings is a requirement at all times the PA is helping the child.
- PA to notify parents if they have any Flu symptoms /cold/ throat infections or any infection transmitted through airborne exposure.
