PA profiles

Choice and control are at the heart of everything we do. Our personal assistant database directly connects Direct Payment employers with PAs who are available for work in your area.

By bringing together PAs and employers, we support people to live more independent lives. Search our database and take the first step towards finding your new PA today.

Use the filter on the left of the page to search profiles. Click on the PAs name to find out more about them and get in touch.

Please note: The personal assistants in our database are not employed or recommended by Independent Lives.

In most cases, personal assistants are required to pass a DBS check and reference checks before beginning employment, which Independent Lives can support you with.

To speak to a member of staff about any of the profiles listed on this site then please contact us by emailing recruitment@independentlives.org or by phoning 01903 219482 (option 4).

A little about me. I have over 12 years experience within care with a range of clients including individuals with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries. I have experience is supporting individuals with everyday care, enabling them to remain as independent as possible, assist with outings and appointments, provide personal care, assistance with meeting nutrition and hydration needs, providing end of life care etc.
I am currently the night manager in a local care home but I am looking to move away from night shifts although adhoc night care or sleep in shifts would not be an issue.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 6 year old, walking my lovely cocker spaniel, going to the gym, babysitting and caring for horses.
I would love to go back to providing 1-1 support enabling a more person centred approach.

I am hoping to find enough PA work to work around my son and the holidays allowing for a better work life balance. If I know the hours in advance then I can work childcare around clients needs.

I am a compassionate and dedicated care professional with over 20 years of experience in the health and social care sector. With a strong background in mental health support, I have spent the past seven years working within local authority services alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and NHS teams. My expertise lies in empowering individuals to regain independence and engage with their communities.

I can provide tailored support, including assistance with daily living tasks, meal preparation, medication monitoring, and social integration and helping you access appointments. I am passionate about helping individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve meaningful goals. My approach is person-centred, ensuring each individual feels supported, valued, and empowered in their journey toward greater autonomy.

I thrive in roles that allow me to make a tangible difference in people’s lives and am committed to fostering positive change through patience, empathy, and practical guidance.

I am a huge lover of all types of animals, bar snakes and spiders! Happy to support with animal care if this is something you are comfortable with. I own a Labrador myself and understand how important our pets are to us.

In my free time I am a mother to a wonderful 6 year old son. He keeps me busy, but I enjoy watching him grow and am forever surprised with the new information he has learnt at school. I love to spend time with my family and make the most of the time we do spend together. We occasionally have little breaks away with Frank - the Lab, and enjoy spending time in open spaces with lovely views, and peace and quiet.

I love DIY and upcycling furniture when I get the chance.

Overall I'm a bubbly individual, who likes to keep herself to herself and loves to revel in helping others :-)
