About me
Hi, I’m Maya. New to being a PA, I’m passionate about working in H&SC. I have found my medical history helps form strong connections with neuroatypical individuals and those with mobility/physical needs. I enjoy socialising and exploring new hobbies — arts/crafts, enjoying the outdoors and appreciating nerdier moments with films and books.
My experience
Starting in H&SC with Aspens children/young adults services and these pages, I am new to the work and do not hold medical qualifications. Despite this I have had plenty of my own personal experience helping family and peers with individual difficulties. These include friends/family with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, anxieties, Tourette's, seizures and mobility difficulty --- living through some myself I feel I have a deeper knowledge and understanding of some conditions.
Training
I have not had any formal training in H&SC areas, however I am currently undergoing Aspens training to work with additional needs children and adults which will include, full DBS, safeguarding, support and care, first aid, etc.
