About me
Hi there :)
My name is Joanna and I work in a small care team of 4, including me, my mum, my brother and a close friend of ours.
I started working in care when I was 17 whilst I finished my studies, I then took a break and went travelling for a while. I’ve been working as a self employed carer with my team for the past year and it’s been amazing. We have been able to connect deeply with our clients and offer the flexibility that big companies can’t provide.
I’m quite a home body so spend a lot of my free time snuggling with my cats and dog and working on my art. I’m also really into languages; I’m fully bilingual in Spanish and I’m trying to learn French and Italian!
My experience
My first job was in a care home where I got all of my training and my first experiences in the world of care. For the past year I have been living at home where we care for my 93 year old grandmother. Whilst caring for my grandmother we formed our little team and have been caring for people in the community like family.
