About me

My name is Emma, and I’m 30 years old. I live in Copthorne. I’m currently a student at the University of Brighton, doing my nursing associate degree. I love animals and have a dog and I also enjoy horse riding. I’m a calm and caring person and enjoy looking after children and adults. I enjoy being a PA and find it very rewarding and I like to make a difference in someone’s life.

My experience

I have worked previously with adults with disabilities for 2 years, and then with children with disabilities at Chailey Heritage for 2 years. I currently work in a GP surgery and have done so for nearly 2 years whilst undertaking the nursing associate degree. I'm due to qualify as a nursing associate in September this year, and then hope to to a top-up degree to become a fully qualified nurse. Whilst undertaking this I have worked with a young boy with cerebral palsy, on an ad hoc basis. I cared for him in his home and this included administering medication through a dual peg/jeg, suctioning, oxygen, and nebulizers, and supporting him in a wheelchair. Sadly he passed away recently, so I'm looking for some further part-time work.

I also have previous experience working with a young boy in the community who has autism, I supported him at home and out in the community including activities such as swimming. I have a wide range of experience and can provide references on request.
