Changes from Friday 1 April 2022

Free symptomatic and asymptotic COVID testing for most people has now ended.

Personal Assistants and people who have health conditions which mean they’re eligible for COVID-19 treatments are still eligible to order free LFT’s. For more information, please click here.

We will be monitoring the situation and any updates will be posted in this section of our website or is available from our Information and Advice Team, who can be contacted on 01903 219482, option 3 or email them at [email protected].

    Are personal assistants key workers?

Personal assistants are included in the definition of a health and social care key worker.

If being challenged, they might need to carry a copy of their contract of employment and Job description, and or a letter from the employer.

    Current isolation period information

Self-isolating (staying at home) is no longer a legal requirement, but if your PA has COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive, they should stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they no longer have a high temperature (if they had one) or they no longer feel unwell.
