Free symptomatic and asymptotic COVID testing for most people has now ended.

Personal Assistants and people who have health conditions which mean they're eligible for COVID-19 treatments are still eligible to order free LFT's. For more information, please click here.

Are personal assistants key workers?

Personal assistants are included in the definition of a health and social care key worker.

If being challenged, they might need to carry a copy of their contract of employment and Job description, and or a letter from the employer.

Current isolation period information

Self-isolating (staying at home) is no longer a legal requirement, but if your PA has COVID-19 symptoms or has tested positive, they should stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they no longer have a high temperature (if they had one) or they no longer feel unwell.
