Hours per week:

20 hours available across the month, to include the 3rd Friday every month 6.45pm – 10.15pm and Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 12.45pm to 1.45pm

Hourly pay rate:

£12.50, mileage paid at 45p

Hi, thank you for reading my advert.  I am a kind and friendly 20-year male with Autism, I have a passion for all things related to cars and trains, indulging in Xbox gaming, Nintendo Switch and cherishing quality time with my family. I have an active lifestyle and enjoy going to and exploring National Trust sites, steam railways, car shows and the cinema. I am looking for a like-minded buddy/personal assistant to support me with going out and about doing all the things I enjoy. No personal care is involved.

Duties include:

  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Shopping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship

  • Attending a SEN disco every 3rd Friday 6.45pm – 10.15pm
  • Picking me up from college and taking me home Wed to Fri 12.45pm to 1.45pm

Candidate qualities:

  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Sense of humour

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
