I am looking for personal care for a Woman

Drivers licence required: Yes

Own vehicle needed: Yes

Hours per week:

Every other weekend 10am-3pm but can be flexible

Hourly pay rate:

£14.00 per hour plus expenses

I am an autistic 29 year old lady with learning difficulties living in Shoreham by Sea. I would like to meet a kind & caring companion to take me on outings such as zoos, walking, countryside days out and experiencing life in general. I have a fear of barking dogs, I have many hobbies including art & crafts. I don’t have any personal care needs or challenging behaviour. Free autism training can be arranged if required. Hours are every other weekend 10-3 but can be flexible.

Duties include:

  • Transportation
  • Companionship

  • Accompany employer when accessing social and leisure activities e.g. Country walks, playing tennis, badminton, cinema and swimming.
  • Finding fun arts and crafts activities we can do
  • Helping me access activities at the weekends.
  • The above will involve driving me in your car

Candidate qualities:

  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Experience and knowledge of autism is beneficial, but training can be offered if needed

Please note, if you are successful in your application for this position you will be employed directly by the individual employer and not Independent Lives. Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts.
