We are looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide support and companionship for six hours per week for a man in his early 60s.
Eight years ago, he sustained a brain injury following a cycling accident. Prior to this, he led a very active lifestyle, and he continues to embrace life with positivity and determination. He now enjoys singing (and takes regular lessons), playing tennis, spending time in nature, and engaging in good conversation.
Looking ahead, he has an inspiring goal of establishing a charity to support people with acquired brain injuries in accessing and enjoying tennis.
Support required includes:
- Assistance with administrative tasks
- Budgeting and general organisation
- Shopping and meal preparation (including batch cooking)
- Companionship and social interaction
About you:
- Kind, patient, and dependable
- Good organisational skills
- Comfortable supporting someone with a brain injury (experience is helpful but not essential)
- Enjoys conversation and a positive, person-centred approach
