Hi! I am a disabled mum looking after a delightful four year old. I am looking for an energetic can-do person to help me get back to my busy, working life after some health set-backs. I am a positive person and would love someone to help me get back to my old self, despite my health challenges.

My mobility and auto immune disability means I struggle with housework and basic tasks but I am very organised, to try and be the best mum I can be. I can’t shop or get outside much because my condition means my walking is severely restricted and the auto immune means I sometimes just can’t move at all. The main focus of the role is assisting me in running my household in a way that works for me. Ensuring the home is running smoothly with consideration of mobility issues and safety for a four year old. This includes keeping track of household supplies and informing me in advance when items need to be re-ordered. Also medical appointments and keeping track of medications. I’m dyslexic so help with the basic forms and school notices, holiday club administration, ensuring we’re signed up properly to right things would be a huge help.

Are you:

A can-do, highly organised, and completely trustworthy person who:

  • Takes initiative and works proactively
  • Learns quickly and can think about accessibility on the job
  • Can suggest solutions to household problems and work on them independently
  • Provides practical ways to help and maintain organisation with a young child

No experience with disability required - just bring your energy, reliability, and problem-solving approach.

Duties include:

  • Cleaning and laundry
  • Creating and maintaining cleaning schedule
  • Maintaining household organisation
  • Shopping and keeping everything well stocked up
  • Healthy menu planning and prep
  • Paperwork and administration
  • Diary and health - prescriptions and appointments
  • Disability support for meetings and events
  • Personal Care Support - Most personal care can be completed independently at the moment, but for flair ups some help with personal care is needed

Candidate qualities:

  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Once trained be able to work independently to a schedule
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
  • Organised and Observant
  • Problem Solver
