We are looking for a friendly, reliable and caring Personal Assistant to support a sociable 44-year-old man with moderate learning difficulties to continue living independently and enjoying everyday life.
The role will involve providing practical support with some daily activities, including shopping, cooking, laundry and other tasks around the home. He is already independent in many areas of his life and works at Tesco, so we are looking for someone who can work flexibly around his working hours and provide support when he needs it.
This is a varied and rewarding role where building a positive relationship is just as important as providing practical help. We are looking for someone who is patient, approachable and encouraging, with a genuine interest in helping someone make the most of their independence.
Outside of work, he enjoys relaxing with his games console, watching football, particularly Eastbourne Borough and Newcastle, and spending quality time with his son. A good sense of humour, a friendly personality and the ability to get along well with others would be a real advantage.
If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to someone's day-to-day life, we'd love to hear from you.
