I am looking for a confident, energetic and caring Personal Assistant to support my wonderful 8-year-old son. He’s funny, outgoing, full of life and absolutely loves being on the go!
This role is all about connection and fun. You’ll be taking him out and about doing activities he enjoys – swimming, trips to the park, playing football, going to the cinema, grabbing a McDonald’s, even a game of darts. He’s very sporty and thrives when someone joins in with him rather than just supervising from the sidelines.
He is Autistic and has ADHD and can find transitions tricky. At times he may present challenging or physical behaviour, especially when dysregulated. He’s strong, so you’ll need to be confident, calm and experienced in care or support work. Understanding, patience and a good sense of humour go a long way.
He can tell you what he wants verbally, but will need support with communication, emotional regulation and navigating changes. Building a bond with him and really getting to know what makes him tick will be key – this isn’t just a job; it’s about trust and connection.
If you’re someone who loves working with children, enjoys being active, and wants to make a genuine difference while having fun along the way, I’d love to hear from you.
Duties include:
- Accessing and actively participate in social and leisure activities e.g. Outdoor activities, park, swimming, playing football, going to the Cinema
Candidate qualities:
- Experience in care and support work with children is preferred
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
