We are looking for caring, reliable, and patient Personal Assistants to join an established team supporting a friendly lady to live independently in her own home.
This is a rewarding role where you will work alongside two other Personal Assistants to provide consistent support. The team works together to share responsibilities and provide cover when needed, so no one person is expected to do everything.
The role includes helping with everyday tasks such as preparing drinks and simple meals, light household duties, laundry, prompting medication, and providing personal care when required, including help with washing, dressing, and showering. Support is always given in a way that promotes independence, dignity, and personal choice.
The employer lives with several long-term health conditions, including fibromyalgia, COPD, diabetes, osteoarthritis, CPTSD, and spinal problems following a road traffic accident. These conditions mainly affect her mobility, energy levels, and cause ongoing pain. No previous experience is necessary, but a willingness to learn about these conditions would be helpful. Occasionally, urinary tract infections (UTIs) can affect her wellbeing, so any concerns should be reported promptly.
The employer enjoys gardening, watching wild birds, arts and crafts, science fiction, live music, festivals, and audiobooks. She would like support and encouragement to spend more time in her local community.
A full, clean driving licence is required, as you may need to drive the employer's adapted automatic vehicle.
Hours available:
- Weekday Personal Assistant – 7 hours per week
- Weekend Personal Assistant – 4 hours per week
If you are kind, dependable, and enjoy supporting people to live independently, we would love to hear from you.
