We’re looking for a kind, patient and easy-going person to spend time with our lovely 6-year-old son who has severe autism and is non-verbal. He’s a happy, bubbly soul with lots of love to give, and we’d love to find someone who can help him enjoy the world around him and come out of his shell.
He loves the outdoors — walking in the woods, playing with leaves, visiting quiet play parks, blowing bubbles, and splashing at the beach in the summer. He also enjoys travelling on buses and exploring local places (having a car is a plus, but not essential).
Your role would be to be a friend and companion: to plan simple, fun outings, keep him safe, and help him communicate his needs using visual supports.
If you’re patient, caring, and full of positive energy, this could be a truly rewarding role.
Duties include:
- Accessing social and leisure activities e.g. Walks, going to the park, swimming, clubs, days out, cinema etc
- The above duties will involve using your own car (if you have one)/public transport
