15 hours of PA support a week, on Mondays, Fridays and weekends. Hours and Days flexible and negotiable. 2 x Sleeping nights a month, nights flexible and negotiable.

Hourly pay rate:

Day time hours: £13 per hour. Night rate(sleeping) £50 per night.

We are looking for a couple of PAs, to support getting out and about with our 18-year-old friendly, outgoing son.

Our son has varied interests. He attends wrestling classes and has appeared in shows. He has a metal detector and often attends meets.  He has an interest in history, likes visiting old churches and so on, he will happily show you his coin collection. He also enjoys gym and has participated in strong man events.

He has been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, (Fetal Alcohol Sydrome Disorder) FASD; he has learning disabilities, and struggles with social and emotional understanding (SEMH) and peer relationships. Although he presents as a big, strapping youngster, who confidently engages with people, beneath the surface he is also anxious and has fears and doubts. He has engaged well with PA's previously, both male and female and is respectful.

We are looking for someone to take him out to shops, for a coffee, to visit sites, using public transport. He is happy to try most activities. An outgoing, engaging PA is sought, willing to answer a million questions who could also provide support and advice around forming and maintaining friendships.

Overnight support (sleeping nights) a couple of nights a month would be required to ensure a responsible adult is present in the home.

Duties include:

  • Transportation
  • Companionship

Accessing social and leisure activities e.g. shopping, coffee shops, walks etc

Work with our son to plan his support, linked to his interests

Offer advice/assistance with friendships/social cues
