Between 12 - 15hrs a week, as required with the potential for additional hours to cover holidays etc. 4hrs Monday and Tuesday morning, 9am till 1pm 2hrs twice a week in the evening, 6pm till 8pm Times are flexible, to be discussed.

Hourly pay rate:

£13.50

Are you a caring, positive, and outgoing person who enjoys helping others live life to the fullest?  I am looking for a friendly Personal Assistant to support me and my husband who are both wheelchair users to remain independent within our own home.

The role will involve supporting with medication, personal care/showering, preparing meals, moving and handling support and general housekeeping.

Occasionally outings, hospital or gp appointments so driving licence preferred, we have an accessible Motability vehicle.

Duties include:

  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Housekeeping
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements
