We are looking for a friendly, reliable Personal Assistant to support a vibrant and sociable 25-year-old woman with learning difficulties, currently awaiting a second autism assessment.
She lives in supported living in a single room with shared amenities. She has a strong personality, a great sense of humour, and loves football (especially Manchester United and women’s football), The Masked Singer, Love Island, bingo, and trips to the pub.
The role includes prompting and supporting with personal care tasks such as hair washing, managing psoriasis, and bathing or showering. Domestic support includes changing bedding weekly, encouraging room tidiness, washing up, laundry, and helping with batch cooking.
The PA may also need to accompany her to medical or dental appointments, so access to a car is desirable.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping others live independently and with dignity.
Duties include:
- Personal Care Prompting: making sure she washes her hair, keeps on top of psoriasis with lotion when needed, bathing or showering etc.
- Domestic tasks: changing bedding weekly/assist making the bed, prompting to clean her room, washing up, doing laundry and drying etc
- Assist with batch cooking for the week
