Hourly pay rate:
£12.21 per hour
Do you have an interest in photography and going for walks? My daughter needs support to leave the house and engage in her passion of photography.
I am looking for a kind and compassionate personal assistant with experience of supporting people with high functioning autism. Other aspects of the work will include some shopping for food, supporting to have meals, either at home or out and about, and going to appointments and activities.
Must have a heart felt commitment to all things that come under the umbrella of diversity and inclusion as my daughter is neurodiverse and part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Duties include:
- Helping to choose meals and plan when and what to eat is the sort of eating and drinking assistance required.
- Helping to get ready for leaving the house, like checking that the right clothes for the weather and making sure client has remembered important items like phone, keys.
Candidate qualities:
- Open and clear communicator
- Patient
- Calm
- Have experience working with people with high functioning autism
- Being able to reassure client and take the right action when client is not coping well with their environment
- Driving license is advantageous
- Plenty of further information about the clients needs will be included in the induction period.
