Hourly pay rate:
£12 per hour
My son is quiet but is gentle and kind. He likes music, going to London to visit historical places like churches/cathedrals, museums, monuments, etc. He can spend time at the altar to pray and worship. He enjoys hot chocolate and chicken bake at Greggs, he likes flags and anything that relates to the British Nationality. He also likes to visit the souvenir shops and will sometimes buy something that he fancies. He dislikes the heat or very hot weather.
This role is to assist my child while accessing the community and attending activities, like mass service, ensuring they are safe near roads when out and about.
A personal assistant who is calm, patient and gentle in their approach would be a good fit for our family.
Duties include:
- Accompany and assist my son on trips when required
- Accompany my son when accessing social and leisure activities, like visiting churches/cathedrals/museums etc.
- Occasional longer journeys
- Drive and accompany to social events such as: Church
- Accompany on trips out e.g. to take photographs at the beach or in the city.
- Accompany on trips out eg to the garden centre, beach, out shopping for fun, attending social events
- The above duties will involve driving my son in the PA’s car or use the public transport as needed.
- Ensure his safety at all times and that he is not hungry or thirsty as this can trigger his agitation and anxiety.
Candidate qualities:
- Able to tolerate long walks
