Thursdays for four hours: Thursday morning 8.30 to 9.45 am Thursday afternoon 3.45 to 6.30pm

We are looking for a reliable, caring and patient PA to support an elderly lady with dementia every Thursday.

Morning (8:30 am – 9:45 am)

  • Help Mum get up, washed, dressed, and ready for the day.
  • Assist with medication.
  • Prepare a cup of tea and breakfast.
  • Take Mum to her day centre in Trowbridge, leaving at approximately 9:45 am and leaving Mum there.
  • Private car park available (barrier access code provided).

Afternoon (3:45 pm – 6.30 pm)

  • Collect Mum from the day centre at 4:00 pm and bring her home.
  • Prepare a cup of tea and a light snack.
  • Help Mum settle in by putting the television on and ensuring she is comfortable.

This is an ideal role for someone looking for regular part-time care work on Thursdays.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Cooking
  • Transportation
  • Companionship
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • 8.30 get mum up washed and dressed medicated, cup of tea and breakfast.
  • 9.15 leave Mum on her own at the centre, private car park – given a code to open the barrier, then Mum will need picking up at 4 o clock and brought back home.
  • 4 to 6.30pm , Making a cup of tea and snack , putting the telly on making sure Mum is comfortable

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Must have a driving licence and own transport.
  • Comfortable working in a home with pets.
  • Caring, reliable, and punctual
  • experience working with dementia patients would be an added bonus
