We are looking for a PA who can support a friendly 28-year-old man with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in the evenings.

Duties include personal care, PEG feeding, and tracheostomy support (training provided). He uses a BiPAP, cough assist, and suction machine.

Must be reliable, caring, and over 25 with a clean driving record.

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance
  • Moving and handling
  • Clinical tasks
  • Other relevant duties as required
  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

Candidate qualities:

  • Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
  • Hygienic, tidy and well organised
  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Honest and cheerful
  • Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
  • Must be comfortable with pets
  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements

Non-smoker due to medical reasons, Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
