Various shifts available see below on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thursday - tea time and evening shifts only. It may be possible to combine lunchtime/tea time shifts. Some overnight shifts may also be available. Mornings - either 9.30-11.30am or 10.00am-12.00pm Lunch time - 1.30pm-2.30pm Tea time - 5.00pm-6.00pm Evening - 9.00pm-10.00pm

Hourly pay rate:

£20.00 per hour

I am looking for Female support workers/PAs to work on a Self Employed basis to provide support to my 92 year old mother.

She as mixed dementia (Vascular dementia) and Alzheimers and uses mobility aids and a wheelchair. She can mobilise but can no longer walk.

Duties will include supporting her with washing, toileting/changing pads, dressing, prompting with eating/drinking, administering medication, mobilising and transferring.

You will also be required to carry out domestic tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning/tidying, laundry.

You must have experience of advancing dementia and be able to manage behavioural challenges.  You should also be very patient, encouraging and reliable.

You will need to provide proof of your self-employed status including a contract for your services and proof of carers insurance.  Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Own car not essential, but may be useful for appointments.

This would be a great opportunity to support an elderly lady to maintain her independence

Duties include:

  • Medication prompting/administering
  • Personal grooming
  • Eating and drinking assistance

  • Dressing / undressing
  • Bathroom assistance

  • Support with mobilising and transferring.
  • Changing pads

Candidate qualities:

  • Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
  • Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

  • Experienced in working with people with advancing dementia and able to manage behavioural challenges and not take them personally.
  • Kind, encouraging and understanding.

 

Additional requirements

Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
