Support needed for our 19yr old daughter to increase her social activities and independence.
We have moved into the area and she has lost all her social contacts.
She would like someone to help her find fun places to go and activities to try independently, boosting her confidence and therefore reducing her reliance on us.
She has a happy disposition but also a learning disability, becomes anxious in new places, and she needs help with travelling.
She attends college part time and is hoping for someone to be available Saturday afternoon if possible.
Duties include:
Assist with social interaction and accessing the local community
Candidate qualities:
Experience with learning disabilities,
Good sense of humour,
Clear communication,
A person nearer to her age with knowledge of the local area.
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
